Volunteer dog walkers always welcome!
Brian, well into his 80's is one of our long term walkers, and he is super fit!. Brian attributes his good health to his "5 a day", as he walks 5 dogs every day. (over 18's only)
Keep fit by walking one of our dogs - or 5! In the beautiful countyside surrounding our kennels YOU will feel great and you will make a dog very happy. You are welcome to come and walk any day between 8:30am-1pm. Just turn up and make sure to wear all weather shoes!
Sponsor a kennel
Grinshill Animal Rescue work solely for the animals in our care, ensuring that the dogs and cats have the best possible medical treatments. All funds raised from our fund raising activities goes entirely towards the welfare of the animals. Not a penny is spent on administration or wage costs. As the uptake of unwanted dogs is constantly increasing month on month, our financial situation becomes harder to manage due to the cost of veterinary treatments, heating, food and overheads. Therefore we are now operating a "Kennel Sponsorship" scheme which enables individuals to sponsor a kennel space.
As dedicated animal lovers we do not believe in the sponsorship of individual animals, except in very exceptional cases, as it does lead to animals being kept long term in our kennels. Kennel sponsorship starts at just £3 a month. If you wish to find out more, please contact us.
We have seen some terrible images of dogs who have been used for dog fighting, plus animals used as bait. Please do not advertise your pets free to a good home, as people in the dog fighting business are quick to spot this kind of advertisement. To be on the safe side, always charge a reasonable price for your pet. Alternatively, most animal rescue centres will do a home check on your behalf, to ensure your pet goes to a safe and loving home.
