 Grinshill Sanctuary

We offer a perminant home to those dogs and cats with severe trust issues, giving them space, security and more importantly love. The following dogs and cats are in our sanctuary and are for sponsorship only:

Our very handsome boy Wilson is still under behavioural training. Wilson is a very complicated boy, he is very aggressive with other dogs and animals. He has nervous aggression with people he doesn't know but once you take time to know him he is the sweetest boy who we all truly love. He also stuffers badly from anxieties, noise is a huge one for him. He licks himself until he is wet, chew his coat and is very destructive (he goes through aleast three blankets a day). I know most people may think his behaviour is kennel related but we have spoken to his previous owner and he did this in the house. We are working with him and hopefully someday soon we can find his forever home but in the mean time he will be staying with us. Woody RIP 2023

7 Year old Springer

 

Came to us three years ago from his owner who was homeless. After being refused from other rescues due to his issues, we took him in. Having worked with Woody for the first 6 months we realised his behaviour was extreme, making him unsafe for rehoming.

 

The Vets believe he has Springer rage, and he is now on a medication which regulates his sertonan levels, so we are looking for sponship for this medication (cost at £60 a month).

 

Woody has settled into a very good routine over the last 3 years only trusting a select few of us here. He lives a stress free life with lots of walks and love when he wants it. We love Woody he is now a Happy Boy.

He is best suited as an only pet in a child free household.

Huwie is looking for an experienced quiet home. He is an adorable little chap but can nip on occasions when he feels vulnerable or jealous.
