Grinshill Animal Rescue
We are a small, family run rescue centre situated in the picturesque village of Grinshill - 8 miles north of Shrewsbury (off the A49 Whitchurch road).
Our house and kennels nestle into the base of Grinshill hill and we are surrounded by woods and fields - haven for cats and dogs alike. We started rescuing approximately 35 years ago, taking in stray, abused animals and generally helping people when they could no longer look after their animals for one reason or another. No matter how much space is made there is never enough room - we always have waiting lists for dogs & cats to be re-homed. Our aim is to rehabilitate and re-home all animals to suitable, caring homes.
All homes are checked before and after re-homing. All dogs and cats are vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. As we are only small our animals all have individual love and attention and we never put a healthy animal down. We also offer sanctuary to those dogs and cats with severe trust issues, giving them a secure home where they can feel safe, and more importantly loved. We are limited to what we can do by the strength of our resources, both financial and human. We are short in both areas and are appealing for help. We need more people to help raise funds and carry out other voluntary tasks, such as 'dog walking', if you can spare a little of your time then your help would be most welcome.

Sponsorship a kennel or a cattery pen starts from £5 a month that's less than the cost of two coffees from Costa . The picture below is of beautiful Tilly who sadly has to have her eye removed, the cost is £1200, also our new boy Frank has to have an on him ear costing £600. Tilly and Frank are just two of 28 dogs and cats we take care of. Every penny does count.
We have been rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing dogs and cats for the past 33+ years we are not a boarding kennels so have no separate income we are totally self funded and rely on you the public to support what we do. We try very hard to fundraise and you will often see us at lots of local events at weekend. We also offer sanctuary to dogs and cats who have severe trust issues giving them a stress free life full of kindness and love. We are now looking for sponsorship and commercial sponsorship to help us be able to take care of these animals that will be in our rescue for a long time.
